He is the only goalie to win the Hart Trophy twice as the National Hockey League’s Most Valuable Player and he’s a six-time winner of the Vezina Trophy for NHL top goaltending. Hasek is also a two-time winner of the NHLPA’s Lester Pearson Award as the league’s outstanding player.

Hasek has led the NHL in season save percentage six times and was named to the NHL All-Star team five times.

He was also a key player for the Czech Republic when they won the gold medal in the 1998 Olympic games. He also won two Stanley Cups, hockey’s most coveted prize, while playing goalie for the Detroit Red Wings.
